Broome to Kununurra
day 1
Head down to Cable Beach for a departure photo and we head up to Willie Creek Pearl Farm for lunch. After lunch its an easy run along the highway into Wilare Bridge for our camp for the night.
day 2
Wilare Bridge to Derby for a look at the Jetty before we finally make a turn and start heading along the Gibb River Road. The walk into Windjana Gorge is beautiful and after a home made lunch we head towards MT Barnett Roadhouse for the afternoon and a swim before dinner in the camp ground.
day 3
We see a few water crossings today for the first time and enjoy some of the spectacular scenery along the Gibb stopping to photograph those memories. Tonight we spend the night at Munurru camp on the King Edward River. Here you have the option to walk and enjoy the beautiful swimming holes for the afternoon.
day 4
Early start as we ride into the Mitchell Falls and spend the day exploring. Bring some extra money and Catch the helicopter back to the bottom of the falls which is beautiful.
day 5
Today it’s back via Drysdale station and back onto the Gibb River Road as we make our way for some awesome scones and then into El Questro for camp and a great feed.
day 6
Today is your final leg on the Gibb River Road as we head for Lake Argyle Resort / Caravan park. But before we depart the area we do the walk in and swim at Emma Gorge. Most of today is bitumen after we leave El Questro/ Emma Gorge. I enjoy the run up to Lake Argyle looking at the colour of the escarpments.

Kununurra to Cairns
day 1
Depart Lake Argyle and head out to the Victoria Highway crossing the border from Western Australia into the Northern Territory. Eventually stopping and filling up with fuel at Timber Creek.
After departing Timber a Creek, it’s not long before we turn right onto the dirt and a couple of hundred kilometres later we end up at our first nights camp, Victoria River Downs.
day 2
Depart Victoria River Downs and head out to Top Springs on the Bachanan Highway, eventually hitting the Stuart Highway. About 36 kilometres up the Stuart Highway we camp at the Daly Waters Pub.
day 3
Depart Daly Waters Pub onto the Carpentaria Highway, passing through Cape Crawford, McArthur River and onto Borroloola for a pit stop. Out of Borroloola onto the dirt, we head for the Northern Territory Queensland border, eventually arriving at our nights camp, Hellsgate Roadhouse.
day 4
Depart Hellsgate Roadhouse and make our way for arrival before lunch into Lawnhill National Park, giving you the afternoon to explore and camp the night.
day 5
Departing Lawhill, we head to Gregory Downs, Burketown, Normanton and into Karumba. At Karumba we check out the Barramundi Research Centre, spending the night in the Gulf.
day 6
Departing Karumba, we head up the Burke Development Road to Dunbar. Depending on river heights we either ride further into the bottom of Cape York, towards Cairns or we continue along the Burke Development Road towards Chillagoe.
day 7
Ride and arrival into Cairns with a farewell dinner and celebrations.
